Terms of use
By using vittakosh.in or the Vitta-Kosh dashboard ("the service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What the service is
Vitta-Kosh is a tool for tracking and reporting on investments you already hold. It reads holdings you import, fetches public market prices, and calculates values, returns and reports.
It is not investment, tax or legal advice. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, research analyst or stockbroker. Guides on this site are general information. Make your own decisions, and consult a qualified professional where needed.
2. Accuracy
Prices may be delayed, and statements from brokers change format without notice, so imported data can be incomplete or wrong. Tax figures are estimates based on simplified rules. Always check important numbers against your broker, depository or fund house statements before relying on them, particularly for tax filing.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and use your own Google account.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google sign-in secure.
- Import only data you are entitled to use: your own holdings, or those of someone who has authorised you.
- Access during beta may require approval, and we may limit usage of costly features such as AI parsing.
4. Broker accounts
The service does not connect to your broker account. Holdings come only from files you upload, such as a broker's holdings export or your CAS.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other users' data, overload or probe our systems, reverse-engineer the service for a competing product, upload malware, or use automated means to scrape it.
6. Fees
The service is free during beta. If we introduce paid features, we will describe the price before you are charged, and the free features you already use will not be removed without notice.
7. Third-party links and ads
The site links to brokers and other websites, some through referral arrangements, and shows ads on public pages. We are not responsible for third-party sites, products or offers.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for investment losses, tax penalties or any indirect loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on its figures. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing.
9. Ending your use
You can close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (accuracy, liability, governing law) survive.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction.
